MIDA Women On The Board Initiative

 

 

1) What Does Success Look Like? Increased representation of women in public and private Boards both in advisory and director positions.

 

2) How will we succeed?  By creating a curated database of qualified women across industries that companies will be able to reference when conducting Board searches and promoting this database to VCs and CEOs.

 

3) What Are Our Success Milestones?

 

    • Curate a Board: A qualified database of 2500+ MIDA Women

 

    • PSA Series: Includes board-qualified senior women

 

    • MIDA Girls Women Media (MGWM): Partner with Ad Council to impact next generation of Women In Leadership (Girls to Women Series)

 

    • Build a Coalition of 200+ CEOs and VCs

 

    • Build Private and Exclusive Platform: CEOs/VCs/C Level Executive Women to connect

 

    • 2 Events: Small Event World Economic Forum in Spring 2019 and feature at Major Private Exclusive 200+ CEOs/VCs/C Level Close Event in Fall/Winter 2019

 

    • Introduce New Chapters: UK and Italy

 

 

4)  Strategies

 

There are three workstreams:

 

(1) Identifying and curating board qualified candidates

(2) Promoting this database to influencers and decision makers

(3) Placing women in top public and private boards of national and international companies

5) Elevator Pitch

 

Our objective is to increase the number of women in public and private Boards.  We aim to accomplish this goal by customizing and promoting a database of qualified candidates to all industries.  By making this process easier and organized, we’ll provide a valuable addition to companies that are looking to diversify their Board composition.

 

MIDA Institute and Foundation: MIDA Women On The Board Initiative is using their 6 plus years of experience working with VCs and startups here in California and across the nation to connect board ready women with board seats. With a goal of having a list of 2,500 women to select from, companies looking to fill board seats can approach MIDA and be connected with the utmost qualified senior women executives that best suit their needs in all 50 states and 30 International Countries.
